Restructure physician recruitment funding through PKED

That Council approve the recommendations outlined in Report CAO22-003, dated February 14, 2022 of the Chief Administrative Officer as follows: a) That, the tri-party funding agreement between the Peterborough Family Health Team, the City of Peterborough and the County of Peterborough be terminated effective May 31, 2022; b) That, in consultation with Mayor Therrien or designate, Councillor Kemi Akapo be appointed to the Peterborough Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee; c) The Peterborough Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee become an independent steering committee and that the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Peterborough, the County of Peterborough, and Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation (operating as Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development (PKED)) be amended to include hosting the funding for the physician recruitment services for the region. d) That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the amended Memorandum of Understanding. e) That funding from the City of Peterborough for physician recruitment efforts be redirected from the Peterborough Family Health Team to PKED. f) That Ms. Gomez be invited to appear as a delegate at the February 28, 2022 Council Meeting.

Move 2022 budget recommendations for Finance Committee review

That Council approve the recommendation outlined in Report CLSFS21-038 dated November 22, 2021, of the Commissioner of Corporate and Legislative Services, as follows: That the recommendations contained in Appendix A of report CLSFS21-038 of the Commissioner of Corporate and Legislative Services be moved for the purpose of discussion during detailed budget reviews by the Finance Committee starting November 22, 2021. That the following recommendations be moved for the purpose of discussion: a) That the 2022 Draft Budget, and all estimated revenues and expenditures, fees, contributions to reserve and reserve funds, and proposed staffing levels referenced in the documents be adopted. b) That the user fees and charges as set out in Book 2 be adopted as part of 2022 Budget process. c) That any unused CAO Budget at the end of 2022 be transferred to the Organizational Development Reserve, subject to the overall year-end position.
