Whereas, Council at its meeting of June 28, 2021, through Report IPSIM21-019 approved $282,000 from the Climate Change Reserve Fund to install eight dual- port electric vehicle charging stations for municipal fleet use at various municipal facilities and; Whereas, staff were directed to make application to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities – Green Municipal Fund, Community Buildings Retrofit Initiative, Study: GHG Reduction Pathway Feasibility Study and; Whereas, Council approved up to $50,000 from the Climate Change Reserve for the City’s 20% contribution and; Whereas, the City of Peterborough has been approved for funding from the Green Municipal Fund for the initiative: Decarbonizing Peterborough’s community and public-serving buildings, Be it resolved, that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute an agreement and related documents on terms acceptable to the IPS Commissioner and in forms acceptable to the City Solicitor.
