Joining the ONE Joint Investment Board under the Prudent Investor Standard

That Council approve the recommendations outlined in Report FCSFS26-008, dated August 4, 2026, of the Commissioner of Finance and Corporate Support Services as follows: a) That the report Prudent Investor Standard for Municipal Investments, be received for information; b) That the Treasurer, on behalf of the City of Peterborough and in consultation with ONE Investment, be directed to complete the necessary steps to join the ONE Joint Investment Board as a participating municipality under the Prudent Investor Standard, including all administrative requirements to execute the necessary agreement and ancillary paperwork including, but not limited to the client questionnaire; c) That the Prudent Investor Investment Policy, attached as appendix A, be approved with an effective date to be determined by staff following the execution of the agreement with ONE Joint Investment Board; d) That the attached By-Law, Appendix B, be approved with an effective date to be determined by staff following the execution of the agreement with ONE Joint Investment Board; and e) That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the ONE Joint Investment agreement on terms acceptable to the Commissioner, Finance and Corporate Support Services and in forms acceptable to the City Solicitor, following the ONE Joint Investment Board approving the City as a participating Municipality.
